Paul & Robin
Hello, we’re Robin and Paul. We love and cherish the children we have and we are thrilled to be on the journey of adoption. Adoption has been a yearning deep within our hearts for many years. We hope that this short story about us will help you gain a sense of who we are. We both truly admire the strength, courage and love you are showing in choosing life for your baby. We believe every baby is a gift regardless of the circumstances. Find comfort in knowing that your baby will be loved and cared for.
About Us
Paul is truly my best friend. He is an amazing husband and father. Our life together is a happy one and for that, I am thankful. We met on the dance floor 20 years ago and I thought he was the most handsome guy in the place. I still think that! We dated for five years while Paul finished up his master’s degree with a degree in accounting. We married in 1996. Paul is a loving, patient and honest man who loves being a daddy. To build a wonderful relationship with our children, he consistently takes each of them on separate dates monthly so he can have time to talk with them and be a kid with them. They go out to eat, play mini golf, go bowling and more. We want our children to always know they are loved and they are special. That same tradition will continue with our adopted blessing too! Your child is already special to us.
Paul loves to run and work out at the gym. He coaches soccer and wrestling. He also loves to build. He also loves to build, though he is an accountant by trade. He has built a huge tree house for the kids to enjoy. It has a climbing wall, a bridge, slide, rope wall, monkey bars, and a zip-line. He built a see-saw as well. His latest project was a large screened porch on the back of our house so we can have family meals and parties there. We all love to play ping pong on the new porch. The children are also excited to help him. We try very hard to include the children in all that we do so they can learn new skills.
After college, I worked as a news reporter, but in 1999, I traded in my briefcase for a diaper bag. Now, I am a very content stay-at-home mom. I enjoy hearing the children laugh and sing. I especially love when they “help” me in the kitchen. I love to cook and it seems we always have extra people around our dinner table to cook for. I love that too! I want to teach our children to love others in a deep and meaningful way. I can’t think of a better way to spend my time.
We attend a local cross cultural church that is cross cultural in its attendees. Both Paul and I have taught in the children’s ministry for many years. We are Christians and we intend to raise all of our children in a loving Christian home.
We were matched with our little sister 14 months ago. Caleb, 12, loves to ride his scooter and his bike with his friends. He is a smart boy with a tender heart. Chloe, 9, is saving her clothes and toys for “the new baby.” She is a beautiful girl with a very nurturing spirit. She loves to sing and she loves animals. Seth, 6, spends most of his time playing with his siblings. He loves his dog and riding his bike. He is a joy. Lily is 2 and is a great fit for our family. She loves having a family!
We have furry children too! We have two cats, Tiger and Diamond and two dogs, Shadow and Ginger. They were all rescued and we love them!
Fun Times
We love being together with our friends and family. We enjoy bike rides, walks in the neighborhood, trips to the amusement park, the beach and more. We also have a weekly pizza and movie night at our house. All are welcome! We love to visit our parents and take vacations. We don’t care where we go as long as we are all together!
Our Family
Paul and I place a lot of value on family. We each have one brother. My brother, his wife and their two girls live at the beach. We visit often and spend holidays together. My mother and stepfather live several states away in the same house I grew up in. We see them often. Paul’s parents moved to NC from the north to be closer to us. His brother still lives in the north with his wife. The children love taking trips there to see the big buildings and ride in the taxi. We have a “little sister” out west whom we were matched with 14 years ago through the youth bureau there. She has spent summers with us and is now married with a young son. Our family is happy that we are adopting.
Our Home
We live in a new subdivision on a wooded lot with a fenced in yard. It is a great place to grow up. We have plenty of room to run and play. Our neighborhood has a clubhouse and a community pool. We take our two dogs, Shadow and Ginger, on walks in the community.
About Adoption
We are sincerely grateful that you have chosen life for your child. That shows your strength. We are grateful that you chose to read about our precious family. That shows your hope. We tried to demonstrate who we are and how we live in hopes that it will bring you comfort. We pray this short story about us also brings you an understanding of us. Paul and I love one another deeply and we are thrilled to have four wonderful children. We are certain, though, that there is still one child missing from our family. God has a plan for all of us. We pray that his plan may weave our lives together to fulfill our desire to add another blessing to our lives and to fulfill your passion to find loving, nurturing parents. We pray that your journey is full of hope, love and compassion. What you are choosing to do is an amazing gift. We do not take it lightly. We have planned for this child and we are financially stable. We can provide a home filled with love, compassion, fun times and we can provide any education opportunities your child may desire. God bless you through this journey.
